Step 1: Contact Your Onboarding Manager or Email Us
For the best go-live experience, we recommend reaching out to your onboarding manager directly. If you haven't been assigned one yet, or if you have any questions, don't hesitate to email us at hello@styla.com. Our team is eager to assist you and ensure a seamless transition.
Step 2: Preparing for Go-Live
After installing the Styla App, your new Styla Frontend will initially run on a preview domain hosted by us. During this time, your existing storefront will continue to be accessible to your shoppers via your current domain (e.g., www.yourbrand.com).
Make sure that you have done all the content and styling work in the Styla editor and you are happy for your Shoppers to experience your new Styla storefront like you see it on your preview domain.
Essential information you'll need:
To facilitate the go-live process, you'll need the following:
- Access to your BigCommerce store account with "Owner" level rights (or provide Styla with "Owner" rights temporarily, which will be reverted to you after go-live).
- Access to your DNS provider to make the necessary changes, or alternatively, grant Styla access to your DNS provider for a smooth setup.
- In some cases, you may need access to your Domain Registrar, or you can grant Styla access to it if necessary. Your Styla onboarding manager will let you know if this is necessary.
Step 3: Pointing Your Current Domain to Styla Servers
To go live with Styla, you'll need to direct your current domain to our CDN using your DNS provider. This step is crucial to seamlessly transition your customers to your new Styla-powered storefront.
Option 1: Guided Setup with Your Onboarding Manager
A guided setup with your Styla onboarding manager. In a scheduled call, they will walk you through the process and ensure all configurations are accurately set up.
Option 2: Let Styla Handle It for You
We highly recommend opting for this hands-off approach. You can grant Styla the necessary access rights to your BigCommerce Shop, DNS provider and Registrar, and we will take care of the domain pointing for you. We will keep you in the loop during this process. Rest assured that your domain is in safe hands, and we will return the rights to you after go-live.
Step 4
Run a full test, including a test purchase, on your new Styla storefront.
Check your analytics to make sure data is being tracked correctly.
Resubmit your domain to google webmaster tools to enure a timely index update.
Estimated Go-Live Duration
In most cases, the entire process will be completed within just one hour. However, please note that it can take up to 48 hours for the DNS changes to fully propagate through the entire internet infrastructure. We appreciate your patience during this time, and we'll be readily available to address any questions or concerns during this time.
